Passing Yards

Team thew for 4 yards. Worst part of this, first play of the game was a 5 yard completion.

So after first play of the game the team went 1/13 for -1 yards. Absolutely pitiful!

121 total yards but if you take out the 84 yard run by zylan, team only had 37 yards on 35 plays. Only one damn yard per play.

Des needs to fire his playcaller (give up playcalling) and let Leger call plays.

Leger? The guy with the position group which may be the worst squad in the history of the program. I’m all for Des giving up playcalling but Tim Leger deserves a pink slip.

There is your 2 biggest issues offensively, Des and Leger. Of course the OL is bad to add insult to injury.

Hud coached a 0 pass yard game and still won by 30

Remind me what game that was, I forgot who we played/year

ULM. 2016. It was a monsoon.

Funny story from that game: some drunk ULM fan wanted to fight my buddy after the game because “yall only won because you have that LSU reject for a QB.” We’re like buddy he threw for zero yards today.

Jennings was not great that year, but a prime reason we got to 6 wins.

I loved that game. Final game of the year. 100 people in the stands. Sloppy and we killed them.

On the season, I think Jennings had like 11 passing td. 10 rushing, and 13 int.

Lunch can be that. Hopefully sans the int.

Receivers need to man up & make catches. First they need to get separation from the DB though. If we throw the ball more often we may set the record for drops in a season.

So no accountability for this coaching staff?

The coaches aren’t dropping balls. How many drive killing drops did we have in week 1? People can bitch and complain about play calling all day long but when the players don’t execute in game, that’s on the players.

Just heard the stat that Nussmeier has thrown for 232 yards or more in every one of his 16 career starts.

3 games in we still haven’t reached 200 passing yards TOTAL on the season. (Currently at 178) Maybe next week @ 0-3 Eastern Michigan

Bad O Line, bad QB and bad WR =zero offence

All going to equal a team that MIGHT get two conference wins. Might.

If you teach and every kid in your class fails a test, there’s a problem standing up at the chalkboard. Less than 200 passing yards in 3 games is inexcusable. We’re undisciplined and fundamentals are nonexistent. Asking the head coach what the issue with the passing attack is and his answer is, “I don’t know.” Maybe he should figure it out.

We can’t seem to play basic pitch and catch!

Where are the screen passes?

The quick timing passes.

We can’t seem to protect more than 2-3 seconds; so why keep going vertical? QB won’t get any confidence when those never seem to connect. SMH.

We tried a screen and our “star” transfer receiver didn’t block worth a fack and it got blown up. That was the other -1 yard completion.

Its the coaches job to teach them how to catch the ball. Its the coaches job to recruit players who are capable to catch a football. It is the coaches job to get HIS players to perform on gameday. Your take is why we had Marlin for 15 years. Which Im afraid it may be worse with Des because hes a “hometown boy” and everybody wants to be his podnuh.

Coaches should not have to teach kids how to catch at the college level.

Route running, yes. Blocking, yes. Not catching.

At this point play who shows heart not how much they are paid

The problem is that the coaches currently aren’t putting these players in position to be successful. When you’re calling run plays against a SEC front 7 or calling 2 yard pass plays to the flat on 3rd and 15, that’s on the coach. It’s their job to have these players prepared before Saturday, and they haven’t done it.
