I miss visiting bands. That used to be pretty standard in the 80s
Had the same general comments about the PA/game announcements. Trying to honor the 2005 team during play was completely on Tuna. He must not have seen the penalty on that 4th down play and just started yammering. They also somehow managed to mess up honoring the Hall of Fame class and had to rush through because they had the Jazz dance before starting.
Swag Surfin isn’t my favorite, but it’s probably the most overplayed song in sports venues today for a reason. People like it. I know folks on here complain about the song selection, but I thought it was pretty strong last night. Some rap for the kids, rock classics, some club anthems from when I was in college (2011-2014), zydeco. I don’t know what it was like throughout the stadium, but people around me were vibing. The scoreboard is loud, but I can still hear myself think, and I’m only 2 sections away. Please miss me with the lyrical content arguments as well. I don’t see any of you clutching your pearls when AC/DC is blasting.
That’s fun.
There’s a lot wrong with gameday management, but that was an issue with TV going to timeout, not Tuna. Once TV goes on the field, the script starts for the timeout in stadium.
TV decided to not take the timeout after going to a timeout.
Every single year, they rush the HoF presentations and have to push them off the field.
It’s the Hall of Fame - present them at half time!!!
Why would a visiting team bring their band when they know that the stadium P A is going to blast out noise to overpower them? I am just an old curmudgeon I guess, but I miss the days when the bands provided a real college gameday atmosphere, rather than the PA providing a video game atmosphere.
Had a group of first timers behind me last night. Good people who brought up some valid complaints about the stadium.
-There’s no section markers visible at the top of the concourse. I never noticed until they brought it up. You walk down the steps and see the numbers for the box seat areas but there’s nothing saying which section is which. Also, looking across there’s no visible markings of sections.
-Scoreboard sucks but we all know this. Also, the ribbon board is beyond pointless with the duck blinds blocking anyone from viewing the scoreboard on there.
-My complaint. Quit playing Swag Surfing for the dumbass light show! I don’t remember the choices for the crappy poll they ran but did the same damn song they were already playing win? Even worse is that the damn Falcons play the song. That should be more than enough to have it banned.
-My second complaint. TKE float playing Calling Baton Rouge on their float during the parade. Should be banned from the parade just for that.
Walked over to try and find some family late in the game yesterday. Noticed the same thing with the lack of section markers. How is that overlooked in a brand new stadium?
I’ve had the same exact complaint each week since week 1. For some idiotic reason , there are section number signs about 3-4 rows down each section on the hand rails that you can’t see until you walk down the steps… Literally no signs visible before you walk down. Although it’s a waste of time, I always bitch to the ushers about it.
Probably in the same storage room as the banners we were promised
