I’ve actually always believed in this kind of thinking. Between the 30’s on each side of the stadium, should be premier ticketed seating for $50-$30. All other seats in the stadium should be GA for $15 (minus the visitor/student section). Allow fans and families to float around the stadium and sit with their friends and families. Allow fans to openly experience the game from different locations.
The way to improve attendance is to try something different, not continuing to jack up ticket prices for an event that is not in demand.
I will say that the yellow jacket people were pretty cool looking the other way in the 2nd half against Rice
We were able to come and go, and watch most of the game with eyes on our kids, and we didnt have to pay the $50 per ticket that they were charging for a mostly empty section
they have to do something about the sniffer/metal detector or whatever that thing is. Only having one and thousands of people feeding through different lines to it was a clusterfk. I liked the new tailgate area under the old shed. I didn’t get anything at concessions so can’t comment on lines but got a drink at an endzone booth and there was no line. Section 120 seating walkways were wide and really wider than the walkways in the chairback section. The only other thing was all of the steps instead of the ramps coming into the stadium puzzled me, it would seem that with crowds its a lot easier for an accident on steps than on a ramp
The NW entrance ran extremely smoothly with just 1 metal detector. I do agree, that there should be at least two per gate, but it wasn’t really bad from my perspective. I entered the stadium at 6:20 before anyone says something about the time.
The SW entrance was packed but moved very fast.. so much so that I set off the metal detector and the cop pulled me aside and said “eh, prolly your phone” and we rolled on
Unless it got considerably worse, I dunno how you complain about how fast that line was moving
