No words to describe how bad the band is. The debut of a new, beautiful stadium and the band does not have enough respect to dress out in uniform. Polo shirt and shorts instead. Don’t give me the, “It’s the too hot, BS.” It was 80° at kickoff.
My suggestion… fire the band and have a different local high school band each game. Those bands are much better than the one that showed up tonight.
POA member here from 2013-2015 under Dr. Melley. He knew to be taken seriously you had to take yourself serious. Everything we did was first class and it seems to truly have taken a downward turn since he left unfortunately. Bad look

I promise you, any high school band given the opportunity to perform at a UL game would give it their all. It would be one of the highlights of their high school marching band career.
This band doesn’t care. I give most of the blame to the director.
Since Dr. Melley left they have just gone down hill year by year. Just pitiful what happened to them.

Hey, Bobby. Real bands don’t have alternate uniforms. For me, it’s not only about the game, it’s about the game day experience. Part of that, is having a band that puts out an effort to look their best and give the best performance they can possibly give. This band doesn’t. And what’s really sad is, the band director thinks it’s okay to just go through the motions.
You are seriously insufferable. On X and on this board. People can have differing opinions.

We wore shorts and Herbert Heymann Classic polos every year I was in band for the first game. 
That band is not FBS worthy. It’s as sorry as sorry gets
Standing/sitting in the north end-zone, that band ain’t gonna work. They sounded find but it felt like we were across the MS river from them
Whats bad is that they had to play fight song on the speakers after we scored as the band was sitting in the stands…like wtf?
