Got my CD copy from Lagniappe last Friday. Finally got around to it today. Immediately played the whole thing again after listen #1 was complete.

Anybody remember this gem from No Limit era.

@Clutch0364 @RedTails thought y’all might be interested.

Johnny Blue Skies at Lakefront Arena October 27th. You can register for access to presale tickets on their site now.

They dropped the album on iTunes today, and I went ahead and bought it so I could listen at work. There’s a track on the digital album called Party All The Time that’s not on the physical release. I’m kinda glad about that. Not his best.

I preregistered. Good looking out

Yes Sir. Jumped on it when I seen it yesterday.

This iTunes drop could be a problem. Bourbon will go down extra smooth to it to ight.

Unless I’m totally missing it. I’m not seeing the album on iTunes. Found it surprising that it would have been released considering it was supposed to be only hard copies.

He had said it would be a physical release but would likely stream later.

Ended up near top of charts even with just physical release.

I purchased it yesterday on the iTunes store. Showed up in my Apple Music after that. Just looked to see if it’s still there in iTunes. I still see it, but it’s kinda buried. Have to sort by albums and it’s far down.

Since every conversation here always leads back to Sturgill, I feel obligated to mention how great his cover of this one is.

Back to Merle though, in my top 5 all time. Favorite country singer.

Was just thinking about the Sturgill version. He talked about the Waylon comparison but said he felt he was more like Merle.

Merle is easy top 5. Waylon, Merle, Cash, Whitley and Jones.

Got seats 1-2 row 17 section E.
