Missing Sports Talk Radio

Remember the days you could put your radio on 1420 ALL DAY and listen to Stevie P, Foote, Billy Ryckman, Big Dave, the Bandit, Jay, Scott and Ryan.

The only true Cajuns sports talk I know of around these days is 103.7 mornings with Foote between 9-11…

I really miss our old stuff.

Missed them for a while.

I tend to miss Foote’s show but can usually catch Dawson Eiserloh from 1-3. I listen to the show breakdown in the beginning to see if he’s talking Cajuns. Usually listen to the Saints stuff too.

103.7 is just too TSAB centric. Makes my stomach turn.

I’ll listen to pod casts in the car now. RR, Locked on Sunbelt (to hear Dave talk Cajun attendance,) Group of 5 Guys, Sunbelt Syndicat are just a few. Jay has Cajun Connection and Louisiana Athletics Live that I listen to on Spotify.

The Great Scott Show was my favorite radio show. I always enjoyed his segments with Napier and Maggard. Was sad to see him go!

Honestly, I miss none of it.

I miss Jay’s show. The old school bird is the word intro was great. Terrible tunes Tuesday was fun also.

“ It’s Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday”

Oh the memories

I also miss the old shows with Jay and Stevie P. I still listen to Foote’s show and occasionally Dawson’s show as he interviews Jay once a week. Also, listen to Billy’s show sometimes when he has a guest I’m interested in.

My commute always lined up with Stevie P in the AM and Jay in the afternoon. Then Scott took Jay’s time slot. Jay was Cajun talk heavy which I enjoyed; Scott was a mix of Cajun/Saints/Pels. Always brought on Gus Kattengell.

Scott always had a frequent caller that was heavy on Pels. Honestly the only way I kept up with Pels.
