Idk if Terry is on thREDs yet (maybe @Tmon3y_72 ) and I’ll shout him out since he found this but is looks like Tulane is offering $6 tickets against a P4 school. I’m not saying we need to offer $6 cause I know we have a new stadium to pay for but like $10 is better than $0 if they charge $25+. Especially given the amount of seating still available.
Resale tickets
touche lol…..but my thought still stands with multiple sections with little ticket sales. I would just want everyone through the gates. They can make the additional rev through concessions.
If you get in the door, you will spend at least $20-$30 per person on concessions on average. Drinkers and peoples with kids like our crew more. Trust me.
As do I, but I can see the problem. If you offer tickets at a discount the week (or day) of the game, people won’t purchase their tickets early, and it would be a nightmare for the ticket staff on game day. Just playing devil’s advocate.
Alcohol is high margins too.
I usually drink my concession money. I just take a bite or two off the kids food. LOL.
I dont think its a question of buying tickets early or on gameday..
Its a question of buying tickets at all vs staying at home
That’s more of a tailgating issue. Make the tailgate great again, get people out to the field, and they will naturally funnel into the game.
@NattyDaddy I understand this. It was more of a we should offer a lower price from the start. It’s the home opener in our new Lady (even if she is bush-less) let’s set the tone and just get them em to see what it is all about.
I can see this not working cause Lafayette be like this… but worth throwing out there maybe the strategy of how concerts and festivals do it could work? which is where the further out you get your ticket the cheaper it is. like $10 when tickets first go on sale and keep increasing the closer it gets and by the time it gets to game day it is $25-30.
Now you cooking with grease!!!
Make the Bush Great again!
Once we get the sold out look going with the crisper seated stadium and view from the away side to home side. I think these visuals alone will get people off their couch for the next game. Have to perform well on the field as well and win!
like make that well known and presale will go way up and walk ups should in theory go down, thus allowing either less workers needed or they can be utilized somewhere else that may need help.
no Bush until we get to 25k attendance is what the rumor I’m hearing out of Martin Hall.
100% agree.. but convincing people that tailgating is ‘fixed’ will be like turning a cruise ship
We cant do what we usually do and run a one-game promotion and then say “see!? Still nobody here..”
They’re going to have to do things they haven’t been doing, and then wait for word of mouth to spread about the changes. Thats how it died, and thats the only way to bring it back.
OH typical. She wants to keep us talking about it, curious, and interesting.
Martin Hall decided to follow Cracker Barrel’s lead. Our Lady’s bush went from the classic 1970’s look, to fully waxed and modern 2025.
Our Lady has gone woke

Once again, context matters. Terry was corrected.
Thanks, Big Keb for straighten it out. Someone needs to send him an invite!
