The Peace President

Did you read it?

You are right…we spend too much on military. The amount of waste and fraud in that budget is what needs to be taken care of. Also Europe should spend more on its defense…however based on history, Germany is not who we want doing it.

The right has selective views on history and miss the point of what has caused most of the issues we see today.

Come on, baw. You know if it doesn’t come from Tucker Carlson or CatTurd’s tweeter, it ain’t real news. Everything else is made up.

Lol. And look, I’m no cheerleader for Politico. The editorial shit is a joke. But some of their material is top notch.

I’d never claim to be an expert. A huge generalist but like you I’m fascinated by history and the butterfly effects of what led to today.

This current administration would rather avoid looking at history and make the same mistakes we always have. And for the record you won’t see me defending any of the admins during my lifetime…they have all been bad. I just feel the one in now is the worst.

The deep state is real and IMO has been the primary cause of our many conflicts and some wars ever since it was created. Nothing new about that. Presidents are often not making the calls that get us into this international situations. If you don’t think Trump is fighting against the deep state, please provide that side of this story. I’m all ears!

I go straight to CNN and MSNOW for my information!

I read it…doesn’t say much other than it’s similar to what we already had in place. But, Trump will escalate resources and build new installations there and in a short period of time (3 years) he will get what he wants there and we’ll be safer for it.

If this is such a safety issue, my question to Trump would be, why did you want to disband NATO in your first administration?

I believe it’s about 3 things:

Rare earth mineral control, area for the tech lords to build their data centers and building of the golden dome. I think it’s as simple as that.

Some idiots do get all their news and talking points from MSNBCommie with Rachael Maddow and Mother Jones types. And that’s why they remain just as ignorant as those on the conservative side who only read CatTurd and poor grammar memes on Bookface.

If anyone goes to Fox, CNN or MSNBC for information they are to far gone to help.

I do watch the Five, primarily to hear Gutfeld. I was kidding about fake news CNN and MSNOW. I use a variety of sources for my news. X has become a good source for both sides.

I like podcasts for information. Deep dive interviews. I try to be as diverse as I can to get differing viewpoints, but most of what I listen to tends to slant to the right. I’m 54 years old. I have seen it all. I know who is lying to me.

I go to X for my news. 10 years go that would’ve been unheard of, but mainstream media has gone off the rails so much that I’d rather follow independent journalists who actually go to their sources and tell actual news and not be an activist.

Sure, if Biden is showering with kids and taking trips to Epstein’s Island, throw him in jail with everyone else.

I’m not in a cult.

Don’t you mean mis-information.

Wrong.

Only reading his daughter’s diary, so yeah he needs to be thrown into that group, or is it worse when it’s with a family member?

I never accused you of being in a cult unless you are for men in girl’s sports and using women’s locker room, or for late term abortion, or against removing illegal aliens, or for transgender surgery for minors, or for open borders, or for no voter ID…did I miss anything. I’ve been told by friends and family members that you have to be all in on all of the “progressive positions" or you are out. For those supporting those positions sure seem like a cult to me.

A cult is typically defined as a group with unusual, extreme, or unorthodox religious, spiritual, or philosophical beliefs and practices, often centered around a charismatic leader. These groups are frequently characterized by excessive devotion to a person, idea, or belief system, and may use manipulative techniques such as isolation from family and friends, control of information, emotional pressure, and fear to maintain loyalty and obedience.

I’m 70 years old and my perspective will be different from the younger folks on this site. I’ve compromised my political affiliations and positions as I’ve gotten older and experienced living in other countries (8 different countries over 21 years). However, the positions stated above is a bridge too far for me and most of this country. I hope you’re not in that cult.
