On the eve of Trump bombing Iran for the second time, I just wondered how many people voted for this? Didn’t this man run on America First?
As a veteran, a man with a family, and an America First Nationalist, I’m about sick and damn tired of fighting Israel’s wars. We were promised a renewed focus on the home front with this Trump administration. Investment in infrastructure, transparency and accountability via the DOJ, healthcare overhaul, “mass” deportations… We’re getting none of that. We’re being bullshitted into supporting this admin blindly and selling ourselves to tech oligarchy while the rest of middle America tries to figure out how to position our posterity for success.
Not sure how popular that opinion will be but just curious if the rest of you are #Noticing..
agree. Our children have a very tough road ahead. There is no coming back. I honestly struggle to remember when we were on an upward trajectory as a nation.
The corruption is on a totally different level and getting worse by the day.
Totally agree with what our great President is doing, and part of the reason I plan on going back to school to get my Political Science degree before running for office.
I’m not necessarily as much anti-Trump as I am pro-disrupter. He ran as a populist disrupter who was going to shake up status-quo. But in a term where the people gave him a mandate, he’s become every other politician to ever take a national office. The Israel lobby has literally bought this man’s allegiance and it’s out in the open. It’s disgraceful and disheartening.
I’m more center-left populist so none of his talking points ever brought me in and he didn’t have a good first term so why would #2 be any better. Sitting here now I’m completely anti-trump. Going forward anyone who is maga, I am going to vote against.
In the end I just want common sense and people who are actually in office for the good of the country, and not themselves. People who are principled and actually believe in something.
Which is what public service was supposed to be. But I’m jaded.
I think it’s hard to argue that “MAGA” as a movement hasn’t been a massive disappointment and isn’t in shambles at the moment. Approval numbers across the board on the Right are in the toilet (obviously a few exceptions) and midterms look bleak.
Like most of us, I work hard for my money. I don’t mind it at all. It’s how I was brought up and is a part of our Cajun culture. I just don’t want to be penalized for being successful.
I want a government who is fair to all and rewards the hard work of blue collar Americans.
I get it. It would be awesome if we could, as a population, disagree on policy like we use to in this country and stop attacking cultures, ideals, beliefs, and individuals.
In the midst of this though, has the Democratic Party ever looked more limp dicked and ineffectual than they do now? The tide has turned on blind support for Israel with younger Americans, but there is nowhere for them to turn in that regard within the 2 party system. Probably why more than ever they are rejecting both parties.
Which makes the DJT experiment all the more disappointing. We’ve needed a third party to bust up the uniparty for decades now. Maybe this is the moment for the damn zoomers to make their mark. Lol
Trump is focused on power and has aligned himself with others who support his ideology and they don’t give a damn about hard-working Americans. Voters have to do better at recognizing when politicians are blowing smoke up their ass. What would help is term limits being implemented.
