The Peace President

As the white house lies that Lebanon wasn’t part of deal. Pakistan was key to negotiations and they said Lebanon was…

Israel struck an Iran refinery, and Iran responded by sending a drone to attack a major pipeline in Saudi Arabia.

Other presidencies just send them pallets of our taxpayer money in cash, 1.7 billion worth.

Until trump grows the balls to tell Israel no, this will continue.

Were you happy when Trump cursed out Bibi in public last summer? That was a first. You really think this man who has played both Republicans and Democrats can’t do the same for Iran/Israel? Is he just compromised by Israel; or is it Russia he’s compromised by? What is the latest narrative? Happy Taco Tuesday

One of the worst days of my life: this guy gave me money, cursed at me, then gave me more money. I still haven’t recovered fully. My life is in shambles.

Things that could be heard said in the oilfield. :joy:

Though in my case, I usually have to pay money, get cursed at, then have to pay more money. I might be doing it wrong.

Who controls who; the giver or the receiver? Some seem to think we give and are controlled.

Back on topic; we have been at war w/Iran in the middle east for the past 45+ years. The area has never not been chaotic during that time. No more BS proxy wars and instead going at the head of the snake while the snake cannot do the same seems like a better strategy. Wrong? This hardly seems off the cuff and not planned. The Venezuela situation tells me that it was all planned. Chess pieces are being moved that most of us are not privy too. Too assume Trump is simply some stupid ex-apprentice clown that just wings it all is to ignore the past 10 years of American politics. Just my opinion; not saying I agree with his uncouth words or ways. He’s no role model and doesn’t need to be to be a success. Jimmy Carter by most accounts was a great human, look where that got us.

Not even going to dive in on him running as anti-war, America First/Only candidate…

I’m not anti-Trump just to be. I never chimed in on Venezuela because it makes sense at a macro level to stamp out Chinese influence, remove Maduro, and embargo Cuba into a new regime/era.

I do not understand the macro level need to attack Iran and get us into a this clusterfuck. On the surface, the chess pieces being moved just seem to be Kushner receiving $2 Billion from the Sauds and two Jewish real estate agents advising Trump on how to handle Iran.

I think it is a foregone conclusion that Trump is a stupid ex-apprentice clown that wings it all the time, not simply an assumption. Anyone who works with Trump that hasn’t been thrown under the bus yet says so. We should listen.

Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t make it the wrong move. Maybe let it play out before judging. That’s all I’m saying. No matter what Trump and his cabinet does you will hate it. Your response above shows that. Perhaps this is the best move for America long term.

With the changing scope of warfare and technology the United States is increasingly more at risk here at home. Maybe these moves are setting us up for this change? You say Trump is a clown and I say all he cares about is his legacy. If that legacy benefits the US that my children have to inhabit then I’m for it. I really could care less if he upsets the sensibilities of people that think they are above it all and don’t understand the realities of human nature.

Umm…he did state that the Venezuela operation the Trump Administration carried out made sense, so seems your statement above is completely incorrect.

My statement was that the Venezuela move was planned with the Iran move in mind (along with others). He is simply stating he understands one part but not the other. Nothing about liking or disliking it. I’m sure if I read through this thread there will be many acknowledgements about the good things the Trump cabinet has done though. I didn’t mean to make this about any individual person though, just trying to respond and counter the general narrative of this thread which is bashing the Trump administration. I can easily join in especially when it comes to the Epstein stuff and even ICE. I wanted a pathway to citizenship for illegals without criminal record etc…..however when it comes to foreign policy I think the Trump admin has been hitting it out the park dating back to the first term when looking at the big picture compared to all other modern administrations.

Our media hardly mentions Iranians celebrating the US bombings on government/military facilities. They literally have watch parties on rooftops in Tehran. Huge numbers of educated Iranians (especially in the major cities and younger ages) are very upset with this ceasefire. They want to get rid of the extremist government that has been raping, torturing, and killing its citizens at all costs. If you know anyone that is communicating with family in Iran you will most likely know this as the truth. The US has huge support in Iran currently, don’t confuse the average citizens with the government. Imagine hating your government so much that you cheer when another nation is bombing you. How desperate and bad would things have to be for that to happen? That is Iran present day. It’s not our job to institute a new government, but after our history in the area could we really leave the middle east and not destroy Iran’s military structure and set back their nuclear capabilities? Who really needs the Strait of Hormuz open (not the US)?

I don’t think this is just regime change mistake number 104 for the US. What does decoupling from Israel and a fundamental change in our relationship with the EU really look like? Is it just a quick end of relationships or does real change start with chaos and a shift in public opinion. Look at the questions that are now being asked. Our relationship with Israel is being questioned like never before. Why would the Epstein stuff not be fully pursued yet? What does the Trump admin have to gain by postponing it?

Trump is an agent for change. The Never Trumpers detest this change because it ‘s not status quo, business as usual. The goal is to mitigate chaos and implement these changes to a corrupt system that cannot continue the way it has been. The future is not Trump, but maybe the foundation is being laid for real change. Sorry for the essay, just offering a different perspective. I think 90% of us want the same things.
