I partially agree with this. Failing to adhere strictly to The Monroe Doctrine is why the US is currently dealing with this political divisiveness.
Cuba should be the crown jewel of the Caribbean. Much like it was before it fell to communism.

Cuba has no leverage to extend the olive branch. Like usual, it’s up to “leaders” in this country to act in the interest of both parties.
Say what you will about the Obama admin (In many ways, a totally failed President) but his approach in Cuba was correct, IMO.
First, I will never say anything positive about Obama, the guy behind the coup to unseat a dully elected POTUS.
Second, by view of Rubio positions him as prioritizing U.S. interests and alliances without the ideological drive for global democratic transformation via military force. I don’t think he fits the classic description of Neocon.

Like with every president, there were good and bad things. His foreign policy adjustments were one of few bright spots during his 8 years.
Marco Rubio is a lap dog. He has been a political chameleon to survive and obtain power. He is absolutely a neocon.
