Manufacturing would likely be in a better position though. Down 70k jobs since Trump took office.

That’s up there with probably the Top 3 de-facto responses if someone has anything critical to say about President Trump. We had two very competent other candidates in the GOP Primary in 2024…Governors Doug Burgum and Ron DeSantis. But America loves its Idiocracy leadership, so we (majority conservative primary voters) went with an angry 80 year old who’s probably becoming senile to replace the 80 year old we had who was definitely senile.

Well this isn’t pro/anti anyone in particular, but I would say it says majority of Americans are fed up with the status quo and would rather try literally anything other than what we have been doing. That’s on ”leadership” if you can even call it that.

I saw who he apparently wants, but monetary policy is WAAYYY out of my wheelhouse that I wouldn’t know what opinion to have either way. I have read recently that supposedly an interest rate lower than inflation isn’t a good thing…but honestly don’t know.
Our whole financial system seems to be a house of cards that I hope something is done to stabilize it before it fall of us, or our kids.

The man was on the fed board before and was up for chair when Trump made the mistake of naming Powell, he will be great chair.
Most of those jobs would of been lost no matter who was President, AI and closing of a lot of those factories were already on the board. By the time Trumps term is up, the numbers will be awesome once all the factories are open;
