Parking Around Cajun Field and the Cajundome

I always hear fans complaining of the parking situation for football and basketball. And now with this proposed athletic complex taking a chunk of parking availability from that area, it leads me to this quick observation.

I pay $60/season for a parking pass in Lot E (near my tailgate spot). I am able to park on site of Cajun Field for football games.

I pay $60/season for a parking pass in Lot C of the Cajundome for basketball and get to park on the Cajundome grounds.

Last weekend I payed $25 for the UL / South Alabama game. And i had to walk OVER 1/2 MILE to the stadium.

UL fans bitch too much about parking, be it on CF property or across in the grass lots. I dont know too many people who ever walk over 1/2 mile to CF or the CD.

This is USA’s parking map. There are little lots all over the place.

I had a parking pass at Florida State about 3/4 mile from stadium. Great thing they have are volunteers that pull carts around campus giving people rides to the stadium.

I 100% agree with the topic. I have said for years that we are spoiled as Cajun fans when it comes to parking. Very few college stadiums have the amount of parking we have that is accessible to us fans.

Issue I have with the whole situation is that our RCAF group expects fans to just fork over more money when its not justified. Example: if parking lot E was over capacity every game, then yes, its time to start charging for the convenience. ECON101.

I refuse to give another dime for parking when the parking lot is 25% full. In fact, I lowered my RCAF donation when the only perk I took advantage of was taken from me and they required more money.

Maybe I’m being petty but its past time that the administration stops taking advantage of us fans.

I parked for free 2 blocks from Georgia State’s stadium a couple of weeks ago for their Thursday night game.

Free parking for everyone!

Honestly, the parking pass cost is something I don’t care about dishing out $60 bucks for. In fact, we bought 2 the last few seasons just in case my family wanted to driver separately.

Is the game-by-game parking full on the East side? I have not walked over there this year.

Yes. $20 game by game pass.

My question is, is Handicap parking free? And where is it for BB?
