Nothing Ragin or Cajun about the in game experience, including the shitty music at sonic volume…
Cajun French will be the only language allowed to be spoken at the game on saturday.
We need some Poo Poo Broussard PooPooisms announced on the PA at current volume.
Just found out the guy dj’n in the student section is a McNeese graduate. We got a guy with zero connections to UL controlling our gameday atmosphere. ![]()

go figure
We actually have a former athlete who is a pretty damn good DJ and still lives in the area. But, yall would complain about him too.
Ok, so the loyal fans don’t like the music…right?
I’m not disagreeing with you.. but the number of “loyal fans" gets smaller every year.. not to mention older
They just need to mix it up, there is no genre that everyone will agree on or like.
Again, its a personal preference, but I think some common sense can be used..
Random timeout after a punt fair catch? Play your rap song.
3rd/4th and short at a crucial moment? Maybe break out some classic rock that will make a decent impact
Throw in a little Crystal Method for good measure.
I approve!!
Do we break out DJ Trashy?
They play Trashy and my wife will definitely walk out the stadium when I start dancing. Had some of his stuff playing at the tailgate spot pregame.
I don’t think it’s a genre issue, i think it’s more of a volume/timing issue. I’ll stand on that point. The music most people don’t care as long as they can have a half ass conversation during the timeout/down time. There’s gonna be people that dislike the music no matter what you play but it seems like more then half dislikes the volume.
Bring in DJ trashy you’ll have a whole new fan base, middle aged divorce Youngsville people.
I’m not going to complain about music selection because I get it. It’s not for me.
But for those who think Cajun & Zydeco music would be considered dumb to play, let me invite you to our diamond sport venues, who mostly play our local music. Btw, promoting our culture via music is something we should be doing at every chance. I’ve lived all over this country for weeks at a time and I still get people calling me asking me about certain songs, artists or “hey what was that music style called.” People are drawn to unique. I’ll never understand why some of y’all are so scared to embrace it. I promise you, most parents would like to hear Lil Nate Williams rather than WAP while attending games.
Our crowd is family driven. Would I rather it be student driven? Absolutely. But this ain’t that. So stop trying to force it.
This is probably one of those Mandela Effect things, but have they EVER played Cassanova at a UL football game in recent years?
I could send a playlist of music just made by people from Lafayette that would run laps around the horseshit they cycle through every year.
I understand that we need to play a variety of music. My complaint was primarily the volume where i was sitting. The volume may be different in other parts of the stadium but it was very distracting where I was sitting.
That’s the issue, the source is from one side of the stadium so it’s definitely a different volume for everyone. It still could be turned down a notch but it will always be too loud for people in the north endzone.
