JMU to the CFP

Well, looks like the SBC is gonna squeak one into the CFP. Hopefully this helps change the perception of the conference both nationally and locally.

So JMU gets Oregon and Tulane /ole miss rematch. Or will they swap them. How good will ole miss be without lane? Could be a upset.

Use all the CFP money for NIL input to Lunch, Bill and BGJ

Then the narrative will be well yea Ole Miss is in the SEC, but you know they only lost to a G5 because they didn’t have their coach. Don’t worry they will spin it.

and all those conference championships this weekend were blow outs except the Ohio St vs. Indiana game and the Duke and UVA game.

If a G5 gets blown out in the playoffs then they will say well see you didn’t belong here. No mention that Bama just got blown out by Georgia and BYU got blown out by TX Tech. Its the same freaking thing, but no they will change the narrative once again. Get ready for it.

Don’t get ahead of yourself yet. I think JMU is in but would not be surprised if they bump Duke in rankings to keep a 2nd G5 out.

The narrative started immediately with Diaz. He’ll advocate for his team as he should, but the argument is flawed. We have 7 “p4” wins and beat a top 25 team. Sure. You also lost 5 other games. 2 of which were to “g6” teams.

The powers that be created this playoff structure and now that one of the big boys may be left out in favor of an outsider, I’m sure you’ll see them try to move the goalpost again. Certainly next year and maybe even today.

This will be the last year of this playoff format as we know it, after all the bitchin and moaning that about to happen from Sankey and Co.

Any coach in the country would do the same especially since it’s a payout.

A Sun Belt team is in the CFP. Just typing that is strange. It’s a good day for the conference. Love them or hate them, the Dukes will have a some extra fans for a little while.

Careful ..

Tulane and JMU both getting in likely spark a loud enough outrage for them to change the rule to include SoS or something, and effectively remove the smaller conferences for good

I’m glad to see JMU in the CFP. The P4 media is going nuts, and the ND political machine will explode this offseason.

ESPN Commentary is pissed that Tulane and JMU are both in the playoff.

P4 media is going to go crazy all offseason. Heads blown. :exploding_head:

Rules are about to change so it doesn’t happen again. You can hear it in everyone who is commentating on it.

No doubt, they are working on it in their heads now.

Iowa St and Kansas St have opted out of playing in a Bowl game, so looks like 5-7 Rice and Auburn will be playing, while those 2 opting out are paying the Big 12 each 500K.

Weird times in college football.

The meltdown from the talking heads at Mickey Mouse Sports was epic. Just further proof ESPN has way too much influence on college athletics.

Watch for play in games where p5 will cream lower divisions so they can say I told you so
