Finebaum wants the G5 out of the CFP, he says the NCAA Basketball Tournament is fine. That is a lie. If they kick the G5 out of the CFP, the Tournament will be the next power grab. The talking heads are not friends of college athletics.

Theyāre correct, this isnāt March Madness. If they would out all conference champs in the bracket, it would end up being just as good or better than March Madness.
The NCAA needs to step in here. Donāt forget, March Madness is officially the NCAA Division 1 Basketball Tournament.
Before March Madness, the NIT was the big tournament. Right now, the CFP is the NIT. The NCAA should roll out an NCAA FBS Football Tournament. Every conference champion is invited plus some at-large births, just like March Madness. P4 conferences will still do their CFP/NIT thing.
Over time. the NCAA FBS Tourney could outgrow the CFP/NIT, bit I really donāt give a damn. The NCAA needs to put a marker down right now.

Ive always thought that they will eventually end up with no G5ās at all.. and personally I think theyāll add some kind of āpower rankingā that carries over year over year.
So essentially even if Alabama loses 3 or 4 games, their power ranking score is still higher than the occasional TCU or Texas Tech who has a good season
A lot of these talking heads are a result of the 24-hour sports cycle. Like the news, they need views and clicks. No longer journalists, but shock jocks. Even if theyāve been around a while. If anything, they represent the elite in sports and get off on hot takes. They donāt care if the takes are terrible.
Honestly, the worse their takes are, the better. Horrific takes get the most viewers.
So not only did Sherone Moore get canned by Michigan, heās now been arrested for breaking and entering at his assistantsā residence. Apparently one of the arresting officers said heās showing signs of āsuicidal behavior.ā
