Festival Acadiens 2025

I can’t remember a better lineup.

Full line-up is out now.

That’s a badass lineup.

I’ve been going to the festival literally my entire life. Guess I didnt realize it when I was a kid but there was a shift in the music in the 80s. I’m seeing a similar shift in this year’s lineup.

Lots of young talent and the work to promote the culture has paid off.

Laisse Les Jeunes Jouer

Hmmm…. promoting the culture. Interesting concept.

Anyone going to the festival this year? I plan on being out there all weekend. Its my favorite festival and is marked every year.

For those who dont know and are worried about watching our game tomorrow, the years past there has been a “sports pavilion” with multiple games on. Pavilion is in the food area right next to a beer both.

With that said, of course, I cannot guarantee that our game will be on TV. I sure hope whoever is in charge of that area would have a way to catch ESPN+ to be able to broadcast our game.

Best festival we have. I’ll be out there all weekend.

Hope we run into each other. I’m buying beer.

I’ll likely be in soccer clothes, straight from the fields. Please say hello.

We love the Acadian Festival. We look forward to it every year. When you move away from this area and then come back, you realize how important it is. My kids also love going to zydeco and French music shows. We’ve seen everyone around here many times over. Last night, Rusty Metoyer played one of the best Friday shows I can ever remember at festival. Crowd was awesome.

It’s really amazing to see how the festival as grown over the years. I definitely saw a change after Covid. I think that was a time where many people realized how important family and culture is.

I agree. Last night was amazing. Rusty Metoyer puts on a great show. He does a great job of playing traditional zydeco and keeping traditions alive with a modern twist without being to progressive, if that makes sense.

Definitely was a good show last night. The crowd was much larger than I expected. I expect the park to be jampacked today and tomorrow. It’s a good thing to get your own tent spot to get out of the sun.

If you’ve never seen Jourdan Thibodeaux play a show or speak to a crowd, it’s a must. The man was holding court last night. There were people crying after his speech about protecting our culture. Hard to describe, but it was powerful. He is a unique individual. I’m proud he’s one of us.

Great speech. Made me proud. Tonight 5 PM looking forward to Bonsai, Catin. Very unique sound that brings joy to my ears. Wayne Toups, Jimmy Bearb , and friends to follow. Should make for a great evening of music.

One of our favorites. Love their traditional sound.

Would be nice if someone recorded that speech last night and posted it. I would not mind listening to it again and sharing with others.

We left the festival last night after the Pine Leaf Boys. We had been there since 11 am were wore out. Also came home to go out to eat with our son who is in town for the weekend.

I would like to hear the speech. Jourdan is definitely a showman.

I wish Poisson Rouge could have played the festival this year. They played in Abita Springs last night. They will be in Abbeville for the Omelette festival Nov 1st.

If you haven’t seen them yet, check em out.

I was hoping KRVS had it recorded and on demand via their app, but it wasn’t there.
