This should be a war. Southside has some monsters in the trenches and their running back reminds me of marshawn lynch. Although Acadiana has played better lately it has been against some not so great competition. Their defense will once again have its hands full.
I’ve watched just about all of Southside’s games this year. Feels like this will be a fairly closely matched game tonight. Southside almost always starts slowly and wear teams down. Scores with like teams have been fairly similar, so I expect a battle. I do think Carencro is right there too. Next few weeks will tell a lot about all 3 teams playoff hopes
Last Friday, the Wreckin’ Rams (5-3, 5-0) secured a critical district win against Southside (7-2, 5-1) on the road, 17-14, in what is now a 5-game winning streak. The Rams parlayed a strong run defense, and a late methodical drive, to overcome the talented and well-oiled Sharks.
Last night, Southside took their week 8 frustrations out on Carencro (6-3, 5-1), in a 70-35 beatdown of the Bears at the Cro Dome. This Carencro loss now puts Acadiana solely in the driver’s seat for another 3-5A district championship, if they can win out.
Tonight, the Wreckin’ Rams will travel to Moss Bluff to take on the Sam Houston Broncos (3-5, 2-3). Since joining district 3-5A in 2012, Sam Houston has never beaten Acadiana on the football field. The Wreckin’ Rams look to overcome a classic “trap game” scenario tonight, with a looming rivalry matchup with the Carencro Bears just a week away.

How is it even possible to rush for 682 yards in one game?
Because Southside doesn’t throw the ball, running a flexbone offense. Didn’t work so great against Acadiana but as you can see….it did last night 
Carencro gave up large rushing plays and had no answer for the run. Their defense was gassed and couldn’t keep up. Defense had at least 3 sacks and hit their QB pretty hard, forcing him to make errant throws and his WR’s sure didn’t help him either.
@NattyDaddy I turned on the game last week and was pretty damn impressed at the professional operation you guys run for a high school broadcast. Well done. One thing and I mean this is in the most light-hearted, constructive way possible: your boy Nick sounds like he’s getting paid on word count at times. Tell him to take a breath.

Thank you so much, and thank you for tuning in. What people do not realize is that we have a crew of about 10 students that run the entire production, other than the commentary and two producers that oversee the quality. They do 100% of the camera work, the scoreboard and score bugs, the commercials, all of it. They do a GREAT job and puts them ahead of the game if they choose to pursue broadcasting in college.
As far as Nick goes, he sure makes my job easy He fills the “dead air” better than anyone I’ve ever met, and our chemistry in the booth is something I continuously brag about. You aren’t the first to tell him to take a breath, trust me lol.
For a high school production to be refered to as a professional operation… that’s what we strive for! #WRP
For the 1st time in over 8 years or so, I have not been at a football field every Friday night. I have been to a few games this year but since my kids are all out of high school I have had the luxury of staying home and watching different school productions.
I will say that Acadiana High has one of the best productions of all the schools I have watched. Very well done sir!

I certainly appreciate the production. My only gripe is the camera not following the ball when it is thrown for more than 20 yards. It’s like they get lost. Everything else is top notch.

That’s my momma’s biggest gripe too 
It’s hard to criticize a high school kid that’s still learning the in’s and out’s of camera work too harshly. I will say, that’s why Nick and I call the game like a radio broadcast, we know that some plays get missed on screen and we want to keep the viewer informed.

Another thing I was impressed with was the commercials and the clear buy in from local businesses for Acadiana football. Wonder what that’s like…

Scott/Duson/Judice LA has always been ALL IN on Acadiana High sports, especially football. The community and culture is very strong on Rue De Belier! 
I just discovered Wrecking Ram TV was a thing a few weeks ago. It’s awesome. If I’m not at an Erath game, I’m watching y’all. Love the Veer Machine!

My daughter did video for one of the games this year. She’s a junior at Acadiana. Said she did the commercials breaks and graphics I guess. Y’all shouted her out on air, she was pretty pumped.

The Wreckin’ Rams (6-3, 6-0) defeated the Sam Houston Broncos (3-6, 2-4) by a score of 49-21. Acadiana’s junior QB/WR/CB/KR Collin DiBetta was the star of the show, with a passing TD, A kick return TD, and two INT’s. This win sets the stage for a MASSIVE showdown between the Wreckin’ Rams and the Carencro Golden Bears (6-3, 5-1) at Bill Dotson Stadium in Scott LA. With an Acadiana win, the Wreckin’ Rams will secure another OUTRIGHT 3-5A district championship. With a Carencro win, there is a possibility of a 3-way split for the title, between Acadiana, Carencro, and Southside.
