Will the Cajuns continue to be historically frustrating to bet on…. about 50/50 in ATS and o/u the last few years….can’t wait. This year i’m welling we will be fine with the o/u but struggle ats

I’ll just say it like this: If you have even remotely good instincts, you can make money betting G6 football. In particular, the SBC.

Yep, a former lines maker was on a podcast a few years ago and explained this. The Texas vs Ohio State game is expected to have $30-$50 million in bets. The Univ of Ohio vs Toledo game will have $10-20K in bets, which one do you think Vegas will spend their time getting right?
Or buying off officials or players or coaches
Their line on the rice game started at -13.5 in favor of the CAJUNS, then they dropped it to -12.5 and NOW it’s at -11.5.

Why does this make you mad? I’d rather give 11.5 points than 13.5.
Moneys on rice. The O/U came down as well. Maybe expecting less possessions because rice run the option.
I don’t bet on games. To me, it’s about RESPECT, or lack thereof.

Against a 3-option team we won’t get as many possessions so less opportunities to score points. Being this is the first game for Rice with new offense and their defense was ranked 3 in the AAC last year, this will be a tough game to predict.
They probably have people betting on Rice to beat the spread, therfore they move the line a few points.
I would think having to start a QB who hasn’t started a college game, missing three of our top pass catchers from last season and one of our top backs may lend itself to some early growing pains on offense. Hopefully our defense shows up ready to be nasty to give the offense some time to gel.
That just means lots of people are betting for us to cover and Vegas is trying to get some action on rice to cover.
I’m counting on the CAJUNS beating the spread. Of course, now ESPN is making it easier for the CAJUNS to do it!!
