Tune in to games LIVE: https://www.youtube.com/@WreckinRamProductions

Play-By-Play: Kohl Guilbeau, Color: Nicholas Fontenot

Season Prediction: 7-3, finish 2nd in 3-5A

  • 1-2 in the first 3 weeks
  • 4-0 to start district play
  • a LOSS to Southside, that will determine the district champion
  • 2-0 to round out the year

2025 Jamboree:

Acadiana stomps out Comeaux, 36-0, in one half of play. First play of the game, pick-6 for Acadiana.

Hard to gauge if the Rams are that good… or if Comeaux is that bad. Could be a little of both. Glad they are no longer in 5A.

I have a cousin that will be playing for the Rams this season so I will be keeping up with them and try to catch some of their broadcasts.

Good information to know. Thanks

Name?? Ill keep an eye out next Friday.

Comeaux has lost like 36 straight games. They are that bad. Maybe 1 winnable game on schedule for them.

This is gonna be a fork in the topic, but can someone explain Comeaux to me? I’ve lived in Lafayette my entire college/professional life but not born and raised. The talk of Comeaux being closed down (in a seemingly prime location of Lafayette), and now FB is in the dumps. What’s the problem with Comeaux?

football has had moments over last 25 years but southside opening killed athletics. Looking at the last few years they should have had Tre Harris and Malik Nabors playing together but Nabors transferred to southside and never played a down there.

I graduated in 2003 and always had tons of talent walking the halls that decided not to play. Combination of poor coaching and not enough depth of talent to be consistent.

Southside has completely gutted that school.

There are also lots of arts academy kids. Those usually don’t turn out to be stellar athletes. They’ll be closed within the next 2 years and Southside and Lafayette will get most of their kids.

That is insane to me.

As mentioned above, Southside absolutely killed Comeaux. A majority of the athletes came from Youngsville. The other big issue is the location. On the Southside of town. Where a ton of kids are in private school. All the kids that can, end up at STM. So you end up with very little left athlete wise for Comeaux.

Public school talent pool in South Lafayette was split as Southside HS open and not playing in a New Stadium. Charter School enrollment has increased as well. It’s problematic for a number of HS now when it comes to the talent pool.

It will be interesting to see how Lafayette HS improves with more kids wanting to attend on that side of Lafayette.

I played with the current head coach and he is a great guy in a no win situation.

I think people will be surprised with the strides LHS begins to make in athletics. Not just football, but all sports will have top notch facilities when renovations are all said and done. I’m sure kids will be attracted to that.

I know their baseball coach as well. He’s scheduling 1A games just to get some wins on the schedule. Doing everything he can with what he has.
