Volleyball Attendance

Coach has said many times that she wants to get 1,000 people in EK Long for a match. We’ve come close a few times this season.

Texas Southern - 984

Southern - 929

App State - 989

There are 6 more home matches so here’s the challenge for everyone.

-Share posts about upcoming matches.

-Attend a match and bring at least one person with you.

-Post on your social media about your experience when you attend a match.

Yoga pants season is almost here… shouldn’t be too difficult

That lemonade place on the corner of Ambassador and Kaliste Saloom must be busy with all them yogurt pants sales.

What is full capacity?

Capacity listed as 1,121

Big one tonight! Cajuns sit at 2-2 while USM is 3-1 in conference. Don’t ask how these standings work because it doesn’t make sense. All that matters is piling up Ws!

Edit: Went look it up. For conference tournament purposes, Cajuns are 1-1 while USM is 3-1. Only division games matter when it comes to who makes the tournament.

PACK EK LONG TONIGHT! I can’t be there due to football but I’ll be in attendance tomorrow for sure! Plus, you will be able to bid on more of the Acadian flag jerseys this weekend.

Another split this weekend for volleyball. With three weekends left, the team is currently the 5th seed in the west. With the way it works, only the next two weekends (Arkansas State & ULM) matter for seeding. The final weekend against Ga Southern has no bearing on seeding for the conference tournament.

Here’s how attendance looks throughout the conference:

  1. Marshall - 958
  2. Texas State - 849
  3. Louisiana - 760
  4. Arkansas State - 664
  5. Ga Southern - 592
  6. App State - 513
  7. South Al - 463
  8. James Madison - 449
  9. Coastal - 426
  10. Southern Miss - 347
  11. Troy - 276
  12. Old Dominion - 258
  13. ULM - 151
  14. Ga State - 84

Last chance to see the team in action is against ULM.

Wife and I plan on being there Thu night. It was our 1st volleyball game last Friday and she had a god time and asked to go back. Can’t make it Friday because of work.

I’d like to know if they have made more money on volleyball since making the games free. Via concessions, etc.

All I know is that I walked in for free and spent around $40 on beer.

This is the model we should be using for most sports. Maybe not free but cheep ticket prices until we sell out.

I would do that for every football game if given the opportunity.. Its the $100 in tickets that keeps me drinking my beers on the couch.

The best team in the state just doesn’t understand premium pricing. For shame.

Tulane is a case study on what we could have and should have done with our football program, especially after the momentum we had post Hudspeth and into the Napier era. And before anyone says, “Yea but they’re private and rich,” I’m not talking about how they funded the program. Look at the decisions they made with the stadium. Their football hires have been perfect, on consecutive occasions. Their media and branding have been elite. Their attempt to engage their hometown fans has been very impressive. And then of course, they’ve won games when it mattered most.

Tulane was a graveyard for football and gameday environment just 10 years ago.

They have sold themselves at New Orleans team. We should be doing the same for Acadiana.

We did that with the “Our Town, Our Team” campaign a few years ago that lasted a week.

Not even ten years ago. We outnumbered them in yulman the last time we played there
