Didnt see a thread for the Marshall game.
The thundering turds vs the ravaged Cajuns
Cajuns 27
Marshall 20
Time for the diehard Cajuns fans like myself to show up Saturday and be loud!!! The teams in a tough situation and needs all the 12th man it can get. So bitch and moan all you want here, but bring that loud positive energy to Cajun field Saturday.
If the guys managing the game on the sideline, (I think they are called coaches, but don’t really deserve that title right now) get away from trying to be such a balanced offense and RUN THE BALL, we will win the game.
If they try with the same old balanced attack with a depleted OL and the receiving core we have seen the past 4 weeks - minus Sampson, we likely drop this one too.
I think its more up to the play calling than anything.
Best part win or lose is listening to the RR postgame. Should be Fireworks either way.
We need to hear the best of them…. Gerry renaming things like Dick Towers…. Nick slurring his words after 2-3 bottles of whiskey…. Lane crunching numbers, wondering where he missed this week’s line…. Cole throwing his headset in celebration or the frustration of defeat…. and finally…. Kohl drinking his 20th Natty on camera like the Cajun camel he is.
Since Marshall made the change at QB in week 3, they are 2-0. The QB has accounted for 460 yards and 8 TDs… BY HIMSELF.
They rank #34 in rush defense, only allowing 102.5 rush YPG.
The Cajuns are decimated offensively by injury, missing 4 offensive linemen, the top 2 receivers, and the starting QB.
It will be an ugly game, as they all have been. Marshall limits the Cajuns rush ability, forcing the pass. Without a steady O-LINE and the top WR’s out, Beale struggles in this one.
I haven’t seen anything during any game to even suggest that we may win this game. Nor any other game on the schedule. Like I’ve said before this is a bad, bad football team with a few good players. I feel sorry for our running backs.
Marshall 31
Cajuns 10
Can’t see us scoring with this Oline, hope they prove me wrong. Zylan and Bill can obviously run the ball but will they have openings? Can’t see us throwing for more than 100 yards this week without Rob and Sampson (they make up 240 of the 405 Receiving yards we have had ALL YEAR). Our next best three WRs are Wade, Robertson and Baptiste with only 25, 15 and 10 yards each through four games. We are averaging just over 100 yards passing per game and we’ve played Mcneese, 2 other glorified FCS schools and a decent P4. Lucky the sunbelt is horrible this year, however it won’t get any easier than EMU.
