I dont know. Its an honest question in my mind.

The whole situation got really weird this week. Timing has a lot to do with it. Seems like out of nowhere Lunch is “probable” or “questionable” to Saturday. Des used both words in his presser. He also did say that Lunch will play. BUT, its very ironic that Walker is practicing this week.

Yes, Lunch has been dealing with some “stuff”. Its obvious when he is limping on the field. We also know its more likely to happen when he is running the ball more than our RBs combined.

With :13 seconds left in the half. That resulted in points for the opposition.

Then our head coach gets in the postgame and says “Walker was in because 2 min drill is his thing.”

Did this coach not watch the Marshall game? I seem to recall a QB driving us down the football field for a game tying score with about a min left in regulation.

It is mind boggling.

Giving up 3 there may not have seemed like a huge deal looking at the final score. However, the momentum was already shifting to USM. We throw an INT that led to a TD for them. Tie game.Then we punt, pick them off in plus territory and miss a FG. They drive it 60 or so yards and hit theirs to go up 3.

Then the Howard drive. Guy just came back to practice days ago, right? Throws a bad pick and gifts USM 3 and even more momentum.

We got it back 10-13, but should have been tied. Even if the 98 yard pass occurred, Lunch trying to do everything himself and stretching the ball could have been for the tying score. An argument could be made that we were pressing because we were down 2 scores. That was our last opportunity.

The medical staff makes all decisions on injuries no one is rushing him back.

If Walker didn’t play a single play this year after the injury he still wasn’t taking the medical RS. So if he can go let him play.
