Just seeing what everyone is thinking on the qb situation. From watching 2 scrimmages and some sources inside this is what I think:

Qb 1A: more of a game manager. Won’t get you in trouble and will get the ball to the many athletes we have. Slightly less arm talent but seems to have more control. Think wooldridge

Qb 1B: arm talent through the roof, will sell more tickets, more athletic, can make every throw on the football field, and will try to do so, sometimes to a fault. But that’s a chance you take with a guy that can spin it like he can

In my opinion there is no wrong choice. Both would be starters at most G5 schools. The way the past few season have gone it has shown you can’t have too many QBs

I think we all would be very surprised if Walker Howard is not QB1.

I agree. It’s much much closer than you think. If his name was Jeff smith from plaquemines it wouldn’t be as set in stone

I think he will be the starter day 1. But beale did run out first on Monday with the starters🤷🏻‍♂️.

It’s been closer than advertised. Howard has great athleticism and big play capability, but he is a bit of a gambler at times. He’s learning his #1 job is to protect the ball.

Interesting.

Based on convos with offensive staff members recently, I expected you to say Lunch was the player pushing Walker. Apparently Lunch has had a tremendous offseason and improved so much, the coaches were “worried” about a QB controversy developing.

Man…this exactly what I was expecting as well. Heard Lunch is really doing well.

Lunch went with the 3s. What I understand is lunch has flashes of being the guy there’s just not as much consistency as the other 2

I just hope that whoever it is has the right attitude and has earned the spot! I just hope nepotism and hype isnt the reason Howard gets the starting roll.

Heard from an inside source today that WH hasn’t looked good in practice, and is being pushed hard by Bealle. Take it for what it’s worth.

I asked about Lunch and was met with “Daniel Bealle”
