Money vs Loyalty

At least there is a coach who speaks for the average fan out there. When does UL start to think about the average fan and consider their loyalty?

Venables didn’t say that. The random fan said that. Tickets to a UL game are on the low end of the nationwide prices. They could do more specials but that’s different argument. Of course concessions are another story.

This is the state of college athletics, especially for P5 programs. They need more and more $$$ to hire the next coach to a multimillion dollar contract, pay the buyout for the previous coach, and pay players. The average fan is only as valuable as what they are willing to pay.

The only place at our lady of Lourdes with a waiting list is in the new club and suite level seats. More seats in the club would have been a wise thing to do here. UL has the opposite problem they can’t fill up the cheap seats not enough loyal fans to do so.

My opinion, through the years UL has done everything they can to push away the loyal fans. They have created haves & have nots. They have made it clear that unless you are a member of “the club” or continuing to pay to be in “the club”, you are a have not.

Students are have nots. Greeks are more than have nots. Kids are have nots.

We really have to work hard to be a loyal fan of this University.
