No live music but watched some comedy at Cite Des Arts. Was a good time.
Apparently Cypress Cove Landing is the spot to be these days. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this place.
They do it right. Been a couple times. Will go fishing all morning then pull the boat up in the afternoon..
Naq’s in Duson is a must-try if you haven’t been there yet. Great music, food, and atmosphere.
I’ve seen video’s from Cypress Cove Landing and they have a very good crowd ever weekend it seems. I will make it out there one of these Sunday’s.
Naq’s is on this list. Have not had a chance to make it out there yet. I’ve heard good things about it as well.
My area tends to have pretty lame live shows, but I’ve been to a few concerts at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort that were pretty cool. So far I’ve seen Southern Avenue, Junior Marvin and the Legendary Wailers, Otis Taylor, Fara Tolno, and a local DJ by the name of DJ Jus there. The biggest problem with most of these shows was how lame the crowd was lol.
I usually have to venture to at least BR for shows Chelsea’s Live is a really nice venue that has opened up over there within the last couple years.
Acid Bath just announced for a show at the Lakefront in NO.
Acid Bath! That is a band I have not heard of in a while.
My parents used to be regulars at Bon Temps when Dustin Gaspard and Sarah Russo performed on kind of a weekly basis. But it sounds like they don’t have that lineup anymore.
They reunited this year for the first time since 1997, a lot of people are really excited about it
Certainly not current, but in my mind…nothing will ever beat Cowboy Mouth at Grant Street in the early 2000’s.
Had the chance this summer to see Cowboy Mouth at Jazz Fest with my son who just graduated high school. I had some good times at his same age watching the all around Lafayette & Baton Rouge.
Had a great time at Hideaway on Lee the other night. Danced and drank and danced and drank.
Hideaway is a great place. Wife and I were there last Friday night to see Julien Primeaux.
