Cajuns vs. Mizzou

Thinking about making a road trip up north to see the Cajuns play Mizzou. Any tips for some outdoor adventure like hiking or rafting etc. Or maybe tips about Eureka Springs/Branson. Heck may even try to find remnants of route 66. Have not been to the heart of the Show Me state so just fishing for ideas.

Spent some time in Eureka a couple years ago. Highly recommend the ‘haunted’ hotel. Breakfast is awesome and the dining room has that old beauty and the beast style feel. Cool place to hang around downtown too.

Oh ya..heard of that place. Thinking about Cedar Lodge up by Branson also.

If you’re set on staying in Branson, we have a place up there. Let me know in advance and I’ll check to see if it’s open.

Went to Eureka Springs a few years ago and stayed at the Wanderoo. It’s a cool old-style remodeled roadside motel that has a brewery and restaurant on the premises. We did a guided fishing trip on the White River. Caught our limit in Rainbow trout. The guide cleaned and packed up the fish for our drive home. One of the best little trips we’ve ever done.

Wife and I went to Branson last year and played Buffalo Ridge (shot 77) and Gary Player’s Mountain Top which is a 13 Hole walking-only links style course. Probably the best golfing experience in my life. Big Cedar Lodge is first class.

Not many great flights from lft. Looks like I’m probably having to drive over to Houston for a decent flight and price. Anyone else making the trip?

Probably gonna do the Big Cedar Wed and Thurs then head to jefferson city for an air b n b as there is limited lodging in Columbia. Driving should be pretty scenery.

Big cedar golf courses are awesome. I played 3 courses last April. Tip top shape with tip top prices.

ya i may just do the golf cart tour and choot em baw clays
