Gub’nuh Landry “finds hundreds of millions”

Wait…is this UL’s lost money!?

That dude is such a disappointment.. I expected better. How these funds were discovered?

He’s got to figure out a way for his trial lawyer buddies to get some in case the Supreme Court rules in favor of Chevron and they don’t get their big payday.

And yet nothing will be done with these “Savings”. Huey Landry strikes again

Don’t blame me. I voted for Schroder.

Landry is a typical Rino. Talks conservative but like with the insurance crisis we have , rather than encourage competition, he relies on government regulations.

Couple years ago, we were told by state legislators and state media that Louisiana had a ~$2 billion (yes billion) deficit to cleanup. Now we’re finding “hundreds of millions” just laying around?

I can’t wait to see the details on this.

Bet it’s from thefts from criminal syndicates called Universities

Yall go check that unclaimed property website lol

So since he found all this money, does that mean they will eliminate State taxes? Asking for a friend.

Only for NIL recipients.

Apparently the state DOGE group found an ass load of Medicaid waste. Clerical carelessness as well. Landry is telling people this will allow them to cut state income tax more next year.

I remain skeptical.

You mean they will leave state income tax as it is for us working folks and do away with NIL income tax for his beloved tigers.

I seriously doubt legislation could specifically call out LSU NIL as being tax free. Now… the bill could say any NIL compensation above a certain amount is exempt.

The bill authored last session was NIL across the board, but…we know the reason such was proposed. Complete bullshit regardless. Eliminate the state income tax for everyone, or if your motivation is to attract the best college kids, whether academic or athletic, then exempt income earned by ALL full time enrolled students.

To carve out just athletes who already receive free tuition, room and board is being a complete piece of shit.
