These guys are just guessing at the plate. They are completely lost up there. They’re late on fastballs in fastball counts. They swing at breaking balls in the dirt and balls a foot off the plate while staring at called strike 3’s that cut the plate in half. And when there is contact it’s a weak dribbler in the infield or a little flare.
Either Deggs missed on recruiting again or his hitting approach/technique is obsolete. I think it’s the latter. You can’t tell me every single one of these guys spent their entire lives excelling at hitting and then every single one of them can’t hit it at this level. We’re watching every other team hit the ball just fine.
Im not convinced these guys are world beaters with a bad hitting coach.. This team has most success when they create havoc on the basepaths but look no further in the game when we called for runners to be moving on a bunt and Noah Lewis couldnt lay down a freaking bunt on two pitches in a row
Other teams are stacking lineups full of power hitters and sacrificng defense and speed. We’ve been trying to go the other way in recent years and we’re getting outgunned by ULM and McNeese
If we don’t turn it around in a major way, Colt Brown will be gone. I doubt a guy like him is going to hang around with a team he doesn’t believe can make the post season when other teams with that ability would gladly take him.
Kid from The Village shut us down.

Had some big interest from P4 teams until an arm injury in JUCA Regionals. Not great size like his brother (6’1" compared to 6’5") but the kid can pitch.
