Finger pressing the panic button
Hindsight? Don’t talk about hindsight! You kidding me? Hindsight?! I just hope we can win a game!"
“In hindsight, I should have listened to NattyDaddy and ran the ball 40-50 times, rather than throw it 33 times and continuously stop the clock”
“Miscommunication on what type of squib that should have been used”.
Is our playbook so complicated that we have multiple types of squibs? Is this the level of micromanaging that he has gone to? Now I see why the players are confused. Coaches cannot even be on the same page on a kickoff with 44 seconds to go in a tied ball game.
You cant make this stupid s–t up!
I just start to wonder what our playbook actually looks like.

This is an excerpt from Foote’s article where CMD explains the squib, later in the article CMD explains they shouldn’t have squibbed it. But my question lies with this philosophy:
“I think you have to start with the kick,” he said. “We called a squib kick .. that’s one thing. Our squib kicks typically are used at the end of the half, and basically at the end of the half, you’re trying to hit somebody – maybe you get a cheap one and steal it.”
By employing this, aren’t we giving the opposing offense a much better chance at 3 more points (at a minimum) than we are giving ourselves hoping for a turnover during the squib? Idk, seems like another case of making decisions off of analytics rather than living in reality.
We used to call that injury a jammed finger. Is that the official report on why he can’t catch?
