Fire Desormeaux

Well im afraid if we don’t lock down Dez for 5 more years one of the bigger programs gonna poach him.

Sarcasm to be sure.

Desormeaux on landscape of head coaching pressures in college football: “When I took this job, I knew what the expectations were and what the standards are…excuses aren’t accepted…my job is that I lead in the correct way”. @KATCTV3

Doesnt matter he doesnt learn from said lessons. He is still trying to ram a square peg into a circle hole despite it never working. “But maybe it will next time”

Guys … “there is enough negativity on the outside” … We all need to be 100% positive and sunshine pumpers.

Not one question about why Walker inserted in the game. Not surprised.

I simply can’t fathom going into this season with high expectations only to realize what a dumpster fire we have become. Blows my facking mind.

I hope it pans out as planned

Just like Buc-ees. I have to see it finished to believe it.

Direct quote:
“The first one [Walker’s INT] was unfortunate. Right decision. Right read. Ya know. The route depth and timing wasn’t perfect. Ya know. It’s a really good play by the corner, and it’s unfortunate it happens.”

Walker somehow made the correct read even though he threw it to the only double covered man on the field. Oddly enough Des takes credit for Lunch’s INT, but seems to saddle this one on Caden. Mind boggling as always.

The safety had the boundary route covered over the top.

Between this asinine comment, his obvious frustration with the media when asked basic questions, and his continued inability to formulate a sentence without saying “ya know” or “um,” it’s crystal clear this guy’s mentality is not changing and he is not going to improve. Force his hand on playcalling. Make him retake Communications 101. If this is Des post getting chewed out, he has no fear of the person reprimanding him.

I’ve watched that clip 100 times. That window was much larger than the TE quick out. Regardless, the ball should have never been thrown. The Spear and the CB clearly sat down on the route. Mostly because our playbook is middle school level and ancient. Plays are easy to diagnose.

I don’t think we should be arguing about the throw. It is irrelevant he should have never been in the game. We were up 14-7, with two touchdowns on 3 drives and the drive we punted was from around midfield after driving a little bit and pinned them inside the 5. We had just stopped them on 4th down, and we start with the ball out the half. Troy scored on the opening drive, and then had 3 drives in a row with no points (missed fg, interception, downs). The offense was moving with lunch, and we were in control of the game. Why would walker even touch the field in that scenario.

We won’t get a direct answer to that question because the media is walking on eggshells around Des. He started to get chippy again with this presser when asked about the running game. We need folks in that room who will ask the questions regardless of what kinda response they evoke.

I could not have said it any better. Walker shouldn’t have even been in the game at that point.

Outside of the comments about Walker’s INT (It was 100% the wrong read), this was a pretty good presser. Nothing else he said was controversial, and he was actually correct on 95% of his diagnosis of the game. Came down to turnovers, not limiting Troy in the redzone to FGs, and not converting FGs to TDs on our own redzone chances. Once again, we were “6 or 7 plays away”

To be fair, I also thought the playcalling in this game was the most balanced it’s been this year. I know the RB’s didnt get many carries, but Lunch was having far more success with the inside QB draw plays. Maybe we all need to view Lunch more as a third RB, instead of a QB. 184 rushing/187 passing backs up my statement.

he makes less than $100,00 from state funds, the rest comes from RCAF not the university, his base salary from the state is the same as any coach at this level in the state.
