Favorite Pods

Podcasts are taking a larger share of the news market than ever. Curious as to what everyone is listening to. And for new suggestions.

Going off of Spotify, my top listened to pods are:

-Breaking Points (News) - By far, the most honest, down the middle news outlet I’ve ever found.

-Shotgun Start (Golf)

-System Update with Glenn Greenwald (News)

-Tucker (News)

-No Laying Up (Golf)

-Shawn Ryan (Culture)

-SVP (Sports)

-Martyr Made (History)

I second breaking points.

The Peter Zeihan Podcast Series - Short daily pods about how impacts of global politics.

Change Agents - similar to Shawn Ryan

Hardcore History

Crushing Iron - endurance sport focused

I’m not really a podcast person, but when I do:

Walton & Johnson show since I can’t always listen when they’re live on radio

Oil & Gas this Week with Mark LaCour (USL grad) and Paige Wilson

Energy Law this Week (some Liskow & Lewis folks help host)

I have my Fc Cincinnati pod that won’t interest any of you lol but for others. My 2 favorite are:

Crime in Sports

Small Town Murder

^ Both produced by the same 2 brothers. Pretty funny guys and easy listening

Other are:

  • Culture: Bad Friends
  • History: We have ways of making you talk (WW2)
  • The Worlds GAM (US Soccer)
  • Locked on Saints

I used to listen to Men in Blazers but kinda faded. I’ll probably jump back in soon for World Cup.

Heard good things about small town murder.

Dan Cummings Timesuck podcast is another good one.

Small town murder is I think the best true crime pod. Cause it’s all small towns it’s all just rediculous red neck murders lol

Some western sports & business ones:

The Wealthy Cowboy Show - Crockett Carothers

Uncut & Real Raw with Clinton Anderson

Let’s Freakin’ Rodeo - The Cowboy Channel

The Wild West Extravaganza (History)

BASEBALL RECRUITING & UPDATES ON NCAA RULES

Coach Beede Podcast - Walter Beede (Baseball Recruiting)

CYCLING

TheMove - Lance Armstrong

Revolutions (Mike Duncan)

Civil War Podcast (Rich & Tracy)

I used to do a podcast but it was pretty bad so we don’t talk about that much. One day I’ll do it again tho and hopefully I’ll be better at it lol.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Denver Broncos podcasts lately, so I can get hyped for the game since I’ll be there. I think Mile High Huddle is my favorite out of all of them.

I also like Ragin’ Review (duh), Phoenix Radio, and Locked on Broncos.

I dont get a chance to listen to it often but The Art of Manliness is very good. Host does a good job of research prior to bringing on guests. Very diverse topics.

Others:

Theo Von
W.B. Walters Old Soul Radio Show
Battery Power (Braves) during MLB season

Probably would not consider this a Podcast but I’m a fan of Kill Tony on YouTube.

I listen to battery power and locked on braves during season.

Went to Kill Tony at the mothership around this time last year. If you’re a big fan, it’s a must. Probably the most memorable live event I’ve ever gone to. It was awesome from start to finish. First class operation.

I got roasted by Tony at the Mothership last October. It was brutal :joy:

I’ve enjoyed watching his specials on Netflix. They are really good.

I will make it there one day.

Wife and I were in Austin a couple years ago and I could have gotten tickets. She was at a conference and I waited 30 min or so for her to get back to talk to her about it. Very big mistake.

Carrot Top is still one of the bests comedians alive in my opinion. He was great on Kill Tony. Poor fella looked old though.
