The Wreckin’ Rams will be taking on the #3 Ruston Bearcats at Bill Dotson Stadium tonight! This will be Doug Dotson’s first game as head coach for the Rams, a program which his dad built. This is also the first varsity start for senior QB Ty Lamartina, as well as both starting RB’s Dion Simon and Troy Kennerson. A BIG win tonight would be a springboard for Acadiana’s season moving forward.

Ruston 49, Acadiana 7
Good lord
The Wreckin’ Rams will be on the road tonight against 4-time 5A State Champions, the Zachary Broncos (1-0). The Rams are coming off an extremely disappointing 49-7 loss to the Ruston Bearcats to start the 2025 campaign. A win tonight would ‘right the ship’ for the beginning of the Doug Dotson era.

Just looked up the score, big yikes!!
The Rams are struggling in their first 2 games. The vaunted veer offense is not currently producing points on the scoreboard.
Those were 2 tough games to open the season. That offense should get going as the season goes on

Ram Grad and STM Dad…. Friday these 0-2 teams battle each other… Not sure if I want to see STM win or the Rams right the ship and my 17 year old Senior cry because her Cougars are 0-3.

The Wreckin’ Rams will be at home tonight against 5-time State Champions, the STM Cougars (0-2). The Rams are coming off another disappointing 30-14 loss to the Zachary Broncos. The last time the Rams started 0-2 was back in 2015, where they finished the year 8-4 with a 2nd round playoff exit. STM is also winless on the season, with early losses to Carencro and Catholic BR. Tonight’s classic cross-town rivalry will see one of Lafayette’s powerhouse teams fall to 0-3 to start their season.
