WBB new roster!

I posted this on RP, but Broadhead lost the entire team from last year, based on the current roster. We had 9 or 10 players with only 1 year left, but the other 4 or 5 left. He only had 10 players on the roster today. No idea if that’s a cut back on scholarships or he can’t find more players. Crazy times!

I think he only gets paid in McDonald’s 4 for 4 Coupons. Thats the only reason he is still here makes about what a high school coach makes.

Since when high school coaches make 200k per year?

Oh shit you are right someone had told me he was only making like 60-65K . Thats crazy he is getting 200k to do absolutely nothing.

Looking at the roster, it looks like Garry recruited very well in state, and our team appears to have more size at guard than is usual with Brodhead teams. Very thin in bigs, though, with only 2 forwards and no center on the roster.

Agree, much bigger guards. Wonder if he’s limited to 10 schollys due to budget cuts? They’ll need to stay healthy with so small of a roster.

Broadhead has done nothing with our WBB program. This should be his last season if he fails to make the NIT/NCAA. Enough is enough.

And who would we bring in?

Honestly I forget we have a women’s basketball team sometimes

Who cares? Most schools should shut down WBB.

This is not sustainable for a program. Recruiting an entire roster each year will not bring success. This year it’s:

High School - 3

D1 Transfer - 4

JUCO - 2

D2 Transfer - 1

That’s not even a full roster. Things were building initially but the program has plateaued. When his contract is up, it’s time for a change.

Things never built. Some years we were less bad than others, but we have not been good except when JK Hall was coaching.

Hire a high school coach for 75k and call it a day

WBB is what it is. We know what we are getting with GBro. Anywhere from 4th to 8th place. The program has never really had any type of success

Hire Brad Boyd for WBB

I agree that the WBB program has never been great, but that should be EXACTLY why we make a change, whether it be at the head coach position or something else. WBB, in general, is bigger than ever. We shouldn’t just leave our program behind and have them suck year after year.
