Well we are deep shit if Beale starts. Dude doesnt even look like D2 qb when lights come on.

Beale has only been put in bad positions/blowouts. He hasnāt had the chance to start a game. He was named as the No. 2 QB for a reason. I was surprised that there were no plays for lunch on Saturday.

Hoping for the best for Beale, but sick of everyone saying his been thrown to the wolves or in bad spots. He practices and prepares for a reason. He has came in as the number one back up in every game his played, knowing at any point he could be in. Hoping that he starts and does really well for us, but donāt agree with everyone saying his been in bad spots. Honestly, his been in the ideal spots if youāre a competitor - chances to win a championship down 7-3 and in FG range already and also to lead a game winning drive in a home opener - should be the dream spot. Weāve scored one touchdown in the last 3 games, hope we can get it sorted and start clicking again this week

He was the 3rd string last year and didnāt start a game. Yeah he prepares but when you are low on the depth chart, you donāt typically practice with the ones that much
Ben went down three weeks before the championship game. He was second string behind only chandler going into the last two games of the season and the championship game. Iām rooting for him, but he was prepared to go in for all the games he has appeared in. I agree that they are tough spots to go in, but you know as a second string you can go in at any point
You do realize that Beale was a true freshman last year straight out of high school. If Lunch was fully healthy last year, he would have been in those games & not Beale. Heās has a full year now so he will be much improved. The holding penalty pretty much killed the last drive against Rice & his last pass was tipped at the line. If the receivers (yes, all of them) would have made catches, we easily beat Rice with the way the defense played.
We were bailed out of the holding backup after Rice committed PI in triple coverage. We still couldnāt get anything going. I blame Des as an atrocious play caller and our stone handed WRs for that.

We had just under two minutes with two timeouts. You had the opportunity to throw in a couple of runs along with passing. Could have had him throw a screen pass to get a little confidence.

Iām going to put it this way. Take it for what you want.
Some back-ups prepare for the big moment and are ready for the spotlight when that opportunity comes. Some donāt and some will never be ready.

Should we give the start to LUNCH since the OL is less than spectacular? At least he has more mobility. Maybe he could be the second coming of Gauthier or Broadway!
