Trump tried to close the deal. Having Zelensky there does nothing for the process. I’m not sure we get anything long lasting out of two Communist, one being the former head of the KGB.

Agree. Trump is trying to get cooperation with two lying POS dictators.
My personal feelings about the President and many of his antics aside, if he actually can get these two dictators to call off the attacks and chill out long term, that will be a HUGE accomplishment that even the TDS crowd will have to acknowledge.
Unfortunately, though, it tough to hold out any real hope.
Zelensky is going to The White House on Monday to meet with President Trump.
Trump is trying to build a framework of financial incentives for Putin to stand down. The EU and the Neocons don’t want the grift to end. They will try to sabotage this deal at all costs. Screw ‘em. Putin might be a thug, but he ain’t stupid. He won’t attack a NATO country. It’s time to turn the page.

Yes sire, he’s gotten a peace agreements that probably will not last with Iran/Isreal and several African nations. Putin is a former KGB and still a Communist. Not trustworthy on any given day. Zelensky could give a crap about Democracy, he is a tin can dictator. We are here now because of the failure of the European Union and the failed leadership of 3 administrations begging with Bush.
