We went all out for one game and we got shut down! the Blackham was rocking that night!
THIS!
I agree with everything except the last sentence. Louisiana gets into the CFP all hell will break looseā¦in a good way.
Performance wise, you would be correct. Perception wise, to separate from LaTurd, ULM and Tulane we must beat them every time out. Not just beat them, but do it with style and make it clear we are number 2.
That is truly where we have failed with Tulane and LaTurd. We beat them, generally in close games. They beat us generally in blowouts.
Last season was a one possession loss to Tulane. Those games are historically close.
Hey @ARRCEE

Between Acadiana, the Cajuns, and the Saints, Im not sure I even like football anymore.
All 3 winning in 1 week should be a guaranteed butthole reveal.
You have a better chance of seeing Bigfoot win the jackpot at Miss Mamieās in Duson.
Same here. I even decided to start watching the Texans this year knowing the Saints would be bad. That didnt work out to well for me.
Talking with a co-worker in Trindad this morning. I think Iām going to start watching cricket. Has to be more entertaining that my football season has been going.
The NFL is garbage and I struggle to watch it now. Unfortunately, College Football is headed in that direction and it has nothing to do with our 1-3 start.
Sorry about your Rams.
E-rat is killing it again this year. ![]()
Dude. Come over to the Dark side. Every Saturday and Sunday morning in my house its wall to wall Premier League. F the NFL.
I need to start doing that. I actually enjoy watching soccer. I really have not watched the Premier league because k donāt know many players. Time to learn right? What team should I start pulling for? ![]()
Well, Manchester United are the Dallas Cowboys. Everybody is a fan, but they just canāt get back to their former glory.
Manchester City is the best team money can buy(Emirates) with the best scorer in the world, the striking viking Erling Haaland.
Liverpool are the defending champs. Sala is a great player, but they might be getting a little long in the tooth.
Chelsea is the rich kid down the block that buys all the latest toys yet still sucks. Cole Palmer is one of my favorite players.
Arsenal is a great club to follow if you like finishing 2nd or 3rd every year.
Tottenham just canāt get out of their own way. Lovable losers.
West Ham will disappoint the F out of you every year.
I tend to root for the little guys. Just like FBS, there is a Huge discrepancy in budgets between the top and the bottom of the table. Sunderland just got promoted last year to the Premier league, and they are having a great season so far. Brighton and Hove is my favorite. Small club on the southern coast of England that finds a way to survive. Just like UL
If you want to get into EPL and youāre a Cajuns/Saints fan, just do yourself a favor and root for one of the big boys ($$$). My EPL team is Wolverhampton and itās just more misery.
Sounds like this is my team. Iām a lifelong Braves fan. MLB season has been rough on me as well. Iām very used to making it to the playoffs and losing. ![]()
If youāre a UL / Saints fan and looking for a similar experience, you should be watching Leeds. Or did they get relegated?
They got relegated 2 years ago. Just got promoted this season.
They day I realized where the program truly was in the eyes of not only college football, but in the Lafayette area, was the SBC Championship game in 2021.
Top 25 ranking, 11-1, hosting the title game against the premier program of the conference. You could not have asked for better weather. Not a cloud in the sky. No LSU game to compete with. And we couldnāt even come close to a sellout.
I remember sitting in my seat and looking around at the empty seats and thinking āWow. I really thought we were on the way up.ā We had what, about 33k that day? Which is cool. But thereās no reason to not have 40k that day. Iām not going to sit here and blame LSU for our lack of support. But our entire state is so ingrained in LSU athletics that everything else is an afterthought. I really believe UL could go undefeated and earn a spot in the playoffs and we would still struggle for support because we are not LSU. We are not a P4.
We are not the only ones who struggle with this. Just watch what happens to Tulane over the next couple years. They are killing it right now, but the luster will wear off just like ours did. They will lose momentum and go back to where they were just a few years ago. It is hard for programs like ours to sustain that type of success and supports when most people really donāt care about what goes on in the G6 ranks. Its fun for a while, but at the end of the day there is a P4 program in Baton Rouge that has their eyes set on a national title every year. We can sit here and blame the administration (who rightfully deserves all the criticism they get) for mishandling the program. That is a whole other thread of complaints. But at the end of the day, the general public simply does not care.
