What is everyone’s thoughts on DBU so far?
I think they will win a bunch of games. I have not been impressed with their pitching at all. I think their bats and their hitter friendly ballpark will carry them a long way.
The bats will keep them over .500 by a decent amount imo. Hopefully for them their arms stop giving up free bases (after today.) The talent on the mound is there

On the radio yesterday, it was mentioned by Deggs that if we got the game yesterday then there would be less emphasis on going all out extending arms, etc. to win today. Not that they aren’t going for it but with a 5 game week coming, I don’t think you see him really extending Pruitt too crazily. Also have some arms that haven’t gotten work this weekend
Good pieces of hitting by their guys tbh. Pruitt seemed to be hitting his spots where Brown was setup on all 3 (maybe a little too in on the HR) but wasn’t missing by much.
This stadium is such a joke. Probably 3 or 4 of their home runs would be a fly ball out in most parks.
We are playing in the same ball park. We have 4 HRs to their 8 so far through 5 innings today.
2 of the 4 HRs coming from LaSalle.
But from what I hear, this team has “pop”. Just have not seen it yet. I’m still waiting.

Just my unprofessional opinion, but I like this team ALOT. Especially the way they play defense and hustle their asses off.
Sometimes a humbling is required to keep things improving
On May 25th this loss will Count the same as a 5-4 loss in 10 innings. DBU has been to regionals 13 of the last 15 years and haven’t been swept at home In over 7 seasons, they are a proud program. Big 5 game week ahead with conference starting, in hindsight if you gonna lose today that was the way to do it. Don’t let this monkey turn into a gorilla.
