Black Uniforms on Saturday. Why?

When I walked up to the stadium during warm ups I thought to myself, why would you wear black today, when you have some of the sharpest cleanest home uniforms in the country, in your home reds. I don’t mind the once a year military day as we’ve done in the recent past, but to me it made no sense for your season finale and up until now it still just didn’t make sense. But now I know. This is what I was told by someone I consider a pretty reliable source.

We are in a new time with new presidents at both schools. If you noticed the black uni has Cajuns across the chest and Ragin Cajuns on the helmet. The red home uni has LOUISIANA across the chest. After watching the replay closely nobody, coaches or support staff had Louisiana on any apparel. I have been told it is an agreement between the 2 new presidents that we will only wear Ragin Cajuns or Cajuns going forward against ULM. “I will never apologize for the name across my chest”. Tony Robichaux. Apparently this new administration doesn’t have the kind of balls Tony had.

It’s Tony, not Toney

If you’ve been paying attention the last month, everything has been about the “Black Flag Mentality”. It’s the same slogan used in the off season by the team. When they’re up against the wall, us against the world, the black flag comes out. That’s the reason for the black each week.
