Thoughts? I’m an old man when it comes to black uniforms and black not being a school color, but these are probably the best black uniforms we’ve had.

Front center is script Cajuns, holes in the helmet design make it look like the tip of a spear.

I’m with you. Anything that looks like or reminds me of the Falcons is a hard no.
Black with chrome red letters to make it as hard as possible for Jay to read. Love hearing him complain about jersey numbers. haha

We really did have some of the best uniforms in College Football these last few years. These are still nice but definitely a step back, IMO.
Wonder how much money per year we are spending on uniforms?
I bring that question up in agreement with your point. Why the need to change and spend more money on something that didnt need messing with.
I have to believe we don’t pay much or anything for uniforms with the Addis deal. But I could be wrong. If so, why do we need the deal?

contracts with schools like UL contain rights to purchase adidas apparel at discounts, with certain spending requirements.

I’ve never seen ULs, but as an example: eastern Michigan has a deal where they get 50 percent off clothes and apparel, and 45 percent off shoes, all MSRP prices. EMU had to spend $350k a year, and once they do, they get a certain sum to spend.
