Im sure everyone who attended the football game saw all the basketball players walking around. Got to talk to a few of them at the Ragin Review tailgate. At least with the ones I interacted with, they were Def sent out as ambassadors to sell the program. These guys are obviously very confident in this coaching staff and this program. As fired up as I was for this upcoming season, having abandoned my support for the last few dead seasons under the big Guppy, these guys took my excitement and confidence to the next level. And it didnt sound or feel like salesmanship. These guys believed! And I do too! Pretty sure these guys were given a bit of a history lesson on our once storied program. They talked like their aim was bringing back that glory! Im sold!
Makes me think about all those pictures on the walls of the cajundome…our history….its back, and its palpable! Coach Q is the real deal guys. What he has done so far is incredible. And maybe some of you with more knowledge can go over some of the things he has/is doing with the program. i.e with recruiting/raising money/NIL.
I cannot wait for the season. I cannot wait to see 5k…6k….7k….heck, maybe 8-10k people in the dome to watch the Cajuns do their thing! I will definitely be in that number, and I know most of you will too. I will be doing some recruiting of my own in getting folks out there with me! Let’s do this!
