My elderly neighbor died by suicide. I was the first person to arrive and called 911. That day is engrained in my memory. Yet, it led me to a career working in addiction and mental health treatment. I posted this here because there is still stigma when it comes to suicide and mental health and I want to raise awareness that help is available.

Lost an old high school friend this year to suicide. Love that people like yourself are out there helping!

My daughter plays in Southside’s band and lost a close friend to suicide a coupe of weeks ago. He played the tuba and the band played tribute to him after the game with a song and it was very touching yet so sad. My heart breaks for those struggling. Thanks for being a part of that 77.
