You never know, chemistry is really big part of a baseball team, and we might have great chemistry and the pitching might actually be on this year.

Deggs coaches like it’s 1988. Which is great, when you have tough SOBs that play like it’s 1988. Problem is, baseball culture has changed way too much to coach like that.

This will be unpopular, but UL doesn’t have the financial means to “buy” a roster and compete in today’s NIL landscape. We are not even competitive in our conference for NIL, and the power 4 school are light years ahead. It doesn’t matter who the coach is, if you don’t have the facilities and NIL to compete you will get left behind. Baseball doesn’t even have an indoor area to throw or hit…the other conference schools by comparison do. Just a simple comparison

The coach needs to be a part of that process of raising NIL funds. Especially at a school our size. Look at what Q produced upon taking over the basketball program. Granted the funds raised haven’t resulted in a damn thing on the court. Deggs doesn’t strike me as the type to go out and get it done with fundraising.

Should go after Jake Gautreau who they should have hired in the 1st place.
I disagree there are only 20-30 schools that invest heavily into baseball. Can probably buy a regional team for what football spent on a QB and WR this past season.
