The roosta dance would be banned today for too much fun and too much participation. We don’t want anyone falling down and getting hurt because, you know, liability!!!
Boomer, can still kill it I hear!![]()
I have a Mea Culpa on the rooster dance tent. I was living in Fort Collins at the time and saw ESPN highlighting our tailgate area before a game. They showed the rooster dance, and in my younger dumber years, I felt kinda put off by it.
I have to say, I had that totally wrong. Long live Krewe Du Chew!
Imagine if someone tried to pull that off today.
Today, we need that energy in the tailgate area that Krewe De Chew used to bring.
The recent alumni at work laughed at this because they say it’s true
I may try to do a Krewe de Chew reunion for one of the games if we can pull it off. But honestly, I can’t Roosta like I used to!!! LOL!!!
Why is RV parking here? Do they really need that much room
It’s located there because it’s paved and that’s where the electrical hook ups were installed. Back in the days before tailgating was neutered, the RV area was sold out with a waiting list. I don’t think that has been the case for several years now
You know, I’m tired of hearing Lafayette and Acadiana doesn’t show up for the Cajuns. Especially when the administration strips everything Cajun about the gameday and tailgating experience.
That program 45 miles to the east gets it. They do it right, while we try to be the “elitist program” in the state.
Nickels and dimes?
It’s more like fifties and hundreds.
Really sad what they did to tailgating.
Everything is homogenized…..like I keep saying, other than the football being played, there is NOTHING Ragin or Cajun about the UL game experience….I hope that changes this year. But in this case past performance will dictate future results….
