$2 Natural Light?

I think I mentioned it in another thread. I like to get in 45-1:00 before kickoff and grab a beer and walk all the way around the stadium before I sit down. Just take it in and see the teams warm up a bit. Than I grab another beer or 2 and get seated for the game.

At least it’s back, and I think it’s smart to put it near the section of the group with generally the least amount of disposable income, combined with generally the largest thirst for beer and the least amount of give a shits at this point in their lives. Because I want them loud and rowdy as fack.

And keep the UP WalMart cops away from them unless there’s an actual serious issue at hand that needs their attention.

Speaking of premium beer, I don’t see on there where the draft beer stations will be

Did they get replaced with Sidelines and Grab N Geauxs?

As a dad of two hill kids, that draft beer station by the NE gate was clutch.

$8 for a 16oz can doesn’t sound as tolerable as an $8 ice cold draft beer

Were the draft beers 12 or 16 oz?

16 oz

 They were in clear plastic Legends cups of which I have a collection….. I’ll go check and report back on the size

Gotta be 16 oz I’m thinking

Edit: yep 16 oz confirmed. Hopefully it stays that way

That’s by design. The offer is through Schilling promo for this game. It’s located on that side for a reason. The tweet last night was deleted because they had jumped the gun and didn’t mention it was located in a specific area.

Thanks for the clarification T.

If you notice the difference between the two tweets, Sodexo show’s on the new tweet today. Apparently, Schilling cut a deal with UL, but it has to be served by them, right? Legal concerns, I guess. :face_vomiting:

Saw this on X

Yep, see bottom

Correct that Schilling cannot make any direct sales to the public. All sales from distributors must be made to an ATC licensed retailer. Sodexo was the original reason they went away. The University wanted to keep them but Sodexo said they couldn’t afford it. Sounds like a deal was made between Schilling & Sodexo. Even that can be difficult because by law neither party can sell below cost under most circumstances.

Aware of that, had a liquor license at one time. But there probably is not a discount involved, but some type of trade out with Schilling. Either way Sodexo will be serving it.

IIRC, it must be sold at a minimum 6% increase, according to law. Is that correct?

Lots of things have changed in the past 25 years in regard to Liquor & Tobacco License in Lafayette Parish. A number of codes are stricter now. I can tell you back then, there were ways to invoice a purchase at 6% above their cost and pay a slight increase on premium to cover their cost. They seldom audited invoices as long as you stayed off their minor violations list. Otherwise, they were sure to exam you closer than your proctologist.

Some things never change, one person still in charge of all businesses liquor licenses A-Z.

A 30 pack of natural light at the store is $21.99 and that’s with the store making profit so the numbers work when considering the law but I’m sure Sedexo has a problem with it bc they can’t price gouge people at $2 a can.
