In the spring, we approached Turbine about partnering with Ragin Pagin to update the site, clean up the ads and bots, and freshen up the way things are run on RP. Met with him (and a moderator for RP) for over an hour on a zoom call and pitched the ideas. I even offered to pay for his operating expenses and we’d eventually move to a pay model (very very small, like $1.99 per year, just to keep the trolls and miscreants out). He seemed to like the ideas, seemed to want to brand our products together… And then went radio silent.
I reached out several more times via email, phone and RP. Nothing. Finally I sent an email a couple weeks ago telling him we’d either need to move forward on an agreement or we were going to start our own thing from scratch before football season.
And now, as fate would have it, RP is down for annual maintenance. The funny thing is, we’ve been planning for a while now to announce the soft launch today. I know it looks like a coup, but it genuinely was a coincidence. lol
Right. We have goal targets to hit and at that point, we may ask members to do something like that in the future. For now, we just need to gather grass roots support like we did with RR. It’s slow going at first, but once it gains momentum, it’s an avalanche.
I do appreciate Turbine’s time, effort and energy he put in for decades to keep RaginPagin up and running for Cajuns fans. My understanding is his access to stuff for athletics was even punished as a result. I hope he joins in the discussions here.
I’ve had the opportunity to be part of Ragin Cajun forums since they were on Delphi. What you have here is evolution. I firmly believe this will be a great place to talk Ragin’ Cajuns.

Same here. Those damn Martin Hall bots finally took down RP
