It’s a reason to overindulge in PBR and have a good time watching Cajuns football. Don’t expect much out of the play calling.

Why is Charlotte the 49ers? What a terrible name.

The state of North Carolina was moving toward shutting down the school and local supporters fought to keep it open. That happened in 1949

Originally it was the 69 ees, but the Queen City college crowd vetoed it…Gold was mined and minted around that time in the foothills around Charlotte.

Still think it is a terrible name. Reminds me of that NFL team in San Francisco that I despise.
