ESPN traded UFC for NFL.
No PPV is big selling point for me. Also I hate ESPN.
Dustin’s fight was the 1st one I had purchased in 3 years. $80 in addition to a plus was ridiculous for a dead model such as PPV.
UFC is getting a nice payday. The PPV model is dying, streaming is king and the service providers will adjust subscription rates to make money.
Fans are the winners here. I will watch every single card whereas I’d only buy 2-3 a year.
I have not paid for a PPV in years but watch just about every one.
This new model is the same model the have in UK. I have a service where I can watch just about any station in the world. I’ve been watching via UK channel. BT Sports which has been purchased by TNT.
Looking forward to this! I love watching UFC but am too cheap to purchase.
Has anyone ever watched Bare Knuckle Boxing? I think it was on CBS Sports. The ring is shaped like a triangle and of course no covering on the hands. Saw it a couple weeks ago - all fighters I saw were from Ireland and England. Some legit knockouts.
BKFC is insane! Lots of ex-UFC fighters have gone to that promotion. I still do not understand how this is sanctioned. The damage these fighters are taking are next level. Gladiator sport to the core.
Few weeks ago I was able to attend the Power Slap contest in NOLA during UFC 318 (Poirier) fight week. Now that was an absolute blast.
Now that is insane.
