Successful Year..Yes? No?

Finding out Lunch is the real deal is a success.

Finding out who can play on the offensive line is a success.

Finding out that we still have resilient athletes in our program is a success.

But the football season, is not, and cannot be a success based on the results. Now, if we get paired with a brand name in a bowl game and win… that’s a conversation we’ll have to have.

No. Not successful at all. We were in the top 25 four years ago and in the playoff conversation last year. Plus our schedule is easy every year and aside from last year we limp to 6 wins.

The only bright side to me is IF Lunch stays (I don’t think he will) then we will return a good bit of guys that respect him and want to play with him next year. 2026 will feel like 2024 if we return our offensive and defensive production

No, being one of the worst FBS football teams in the country is not a success.

I don’t think he’s leaving. He has the inside track as the starter here, has fan support, and has examples of players leaving only to sit on the bench for the rest of their careers. Y’all need to slow down on all the expectations that every player who has a decent season is going to leave.

Hard not to think that way when 90% of our offensive production transferred after last year and Zeon left after starting 6 games and was even injured. I’m just being realistic. Plus the running back duo not returning is a big likelihood as well

Going with that hypothetical, I’m going to come down just on this side of successful, simply because of the challenges that they’ve faced along the way and how this team just never quit. In spite of everything, particularly losing your starting QB in game one, they are finishing strong. Real question is, how long can we keep Lunch?

Zylan has already ā€œAgent’dā€ Up

We have now lost 9 OL for the season.

Based on what I can find with that agency…Perry will enter portal.

Yes sir. Let the poaching begin.

Who runs that agency?

Dont you guys just love NIL agents!!!

Im afraid we will be on total rebuild with any player with marketable skill leaving. I would be utterly shocked if lunch stayed. Gonna need lots of $$$

I didn’t see that but when every post or highlighted player is from transfer portal, i assume.

I totally get players leaving and getting paid. I’m not mad about that anymore. But I hate that we wasted half our games on Walker and Beale and left Lunch on the bench for what could have been another double digit win season. now we go 6-7 again with nothing to show for it than another re build.

I wonder if Chase Moss also helps LSU athletes chase more NIL money at other programs.

The problem is the calendar. It’s at the worst possible time for everyone.

I like the Saben idea…

  1. Coaches are not allowed to leave a school until after their team is finished playing.
  2. Portal window moves to the end of spring
  3. Get rid of spring practice and go to an nfl model of summer mini camps.
