TONIGHT at 7:30! We’re back to wrap up the disappointing performance at Mizzou, address effort, give our 4 day digested takes on what happened in Columbia, MO, and of course, look ahead to the “biggest game of the season” against Eastern Michigan, where UL looks to get their first FBS win of the season. We’ll of course talk to The Ambassador and try to have a little fun in between.
Not a “Must Win” … Its a “We better win”

Are we really surprised?
More concerned that Terrence Williams and Sampson are still starting. Bench those low effort players
TW was awful in Saturday. No other way to spin that.
Coach Des can’t be afraid to bench players if they don’t show effort during the game.
6 and 11 should be on the bench. Especially 6!
I will give Beale a couple more weeks considering the situation. OL play has been absolutely terrible. He is having to process a whole lot of info in a short amount of time.
With that said, what I really do not like are how the comments about him completely knowing the playbook & having the ability to check plays when he feels. Play on the field completely contradicts those comments. Maybe 2 more weeks of experience cleans some of that up?
But real question is where do we go from here? As much as we want to see Lunch on the field, the play calling for him has been the worst I have ever seen. So do we go to Altmann? If that is the case, just chalk this season over. To expect him to come in and be the savior is a whole lot of expectation on a very young QB. But who knows, maybe we have another Jake situation?
Curious what others thought about Des’ comments on the show? And our reactions to it.
I’ve heard this argument about Beale a hundred times over the past two seasons, “he’s been thrown into a tough situation”, etc. After the McNeese game and a FOUR yard passing effort last week. Plus, he wasn’t that great in the spring game either. I’ve seen enough.
It seems like Dez has been hugely supportive of Beale since his commitment, so I don’t see a change coming anytime soon.
I’d start Lunch. And let someone else call plays.
